  • assign Profiles for different applications
  • assign functions to the modules
  • save and load configurations
  • and much more!

Profiles Available

MIDI

The MIDI profile is a configuration setting that defines how your Mine S Studio Editor controller interacts with MIDI-based software and devices. MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a widely used protocol in the music industry for communicating musical information between hardware and software.

Mine S offers two primary modes for configuring MIDI profiles:

  • External Physical MIDI Ports:In this mode, Mine S connects to external MIDI hardware via MIDI cables
  • Virtual MIDI Ports: Here, Mine S communicates with music software applications running on a computer.

Compatibility: Mine S is compatible with all software that communicates via MIDI. This includes popular Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and music software used in music production, live performances, and studio work. Mine S offers extensive MIDI mapping capabilities, making it a versatile tool for musicians, producers, and performers working with MIDI-compatible software.

Logic Pro

Mapping Mine S Studio Edition to Logic Pro is a straightforward process:

  1. Check MIDI Profile and Ports: First, ensure that the MIDI profile is active and that the MIDI IN and OUT Ports are correctly configured in the MineApp software.
  2. Enable MIDI Learn Mode: Press Command+L (⌘+L) simultaneously to activate MIDI Learn Mode. This mode allows you to assign MIDI messages from your controller to parameters in Logic Pro.

  3. Select the Parameter to Map: With MIDI Learn Mode enabled, click on the parameter in Logic Pro that you want to control using your Mine S. For example, if you want to control the volume of a track, click on the track’s volume fader.

  4. Move the Corresponding MIDI Control on Mine S: Move the corresponding control on your Mine S to assign it to the selected parameter. Logic Pro will automatically map the MIDI message from the control to the parameter.

If you want to preserve your MIDI controller mappings, you can save them as a custom preset within Logic Pro. Go to Control Surfaces > Settings > MIDI Controllers and select your controller from the list. Click the “+” button to create a new preset, name it appropriately, and click “Save” to save your custom mappings.
